BrainBoosters: Our Longview Partnership for Cognitive Health
Cognitive health for seniors is one of the top concerns for older adults and their families as they think through senior living decisions. National surveys consistently show that a strong brain health program can shape where families choose to live.
BrainBoosters is our answer, making it easy and fun for members to strengthen their cognitive health, right here in our community.
VIVERE Life Longview is the first assisted living community in the country to offer BrainBoosters of America, the kind of forward-thinking, measurable, premium experience that sets us apart. The club welcomes both residents and nonresident members from around Longview, extending cognitive health for seniors to the wider community, not just those who live here.
What is BrainBoosters
BrainBoosters is built on a simple idea. Brain training works best when it’s easy to access and genuinely fun to do, and that happens best within a community setting. Rather than working through generic worksheets or apps alone, members take part in guided programming designed around memory, mental speed, and problem-solving skills.
Each participant begins with a personal assessment that looks at cognitive function and general wellness markers, similar to screening tools used in memory clinics nationwide. From there, a brain health coach builds an individualized road map that fits each member’s starting point and goals.
Progress gets measured every six months, so members and their families can see real, tangible results rather than guessing at improvement. Qualifying assessment components may be covered by insurance.
Inside the BrainBoosters approach
The BrainBoosters program combines several elements to support seniors’ cognitive health.
Personal cognitive assessments establish a starting baseline
Follow-up testing tracks progress every six months
Guided brain training targets memory, focus, and mental speed
Small-team challenges and friendly competition add a social element
Movement, nutrition, and sleep guidance round out the approach to whole-body wellness
Each of these pieces works together, so members are not just doing brain exercises in isolation. They are building habits that support seniors’ cognitive health from multiple directions at once, an approach informed by recent large-scale research on lifestyle and brain health in older adults.
The result is something members look forward to rather than a task on the calendar, easy to fit into daily life and fun enough that people want to show up.

Getting ahead of cognitive decline
National research consistently shows that memory loss and cognitive decline rank among the top worries for older adults and their families when considering a move to senior living.
A program like BrainBoosters gives members and families a proactive answer. Instead of waiting to see what happens, members can take an active role in supporting their own long-term cognitive function.
The fun and the social piece matter just as much as the science. Working through cognitive challenges alongside neighbors and friends tends to keep people more consistent and more motivated than working through the same exercises solo.
How it plays out at VIVERE Life Longview
At VIVERE Life Longview, our residents have access to BrainBoosters as part of daily life here, not as a separate add-on program. Our team incorporates BrainBoosters sessions into the regular flow of the week, so participation feels natural, easy, and genuinely fun rather than an extra task on the calendar. The program is also built to complement our existing calendar of fitness classes, outings, and social events rather than compete with them.
Families often tell us they notice a difference in how their loved one talks about their week once BrainBoosters becomes part of the routine. There’s more sharing of small wins and more interest in trying the next challenge.
Supporting seniors’ cognitive health takes more than good intentions. It takes a consistent program, regular measurement, and a community willing to make it part of everyday life. BrainBoosters gives our members exactly that.
